If you still want to get out in the open Raby Castle is still currently open. Here's is a statement they have released
"As so many things are closing we thought it would be helpful to let you know what is still open here at Raby. Our Park and Walled Gardens are open as usual every day from 10am. Our Woodland Play area is also open daily from 10am and we have a refreshment kiosk in the coach yard chalet. Even though we have had to shut the Castle, Shop and Cafe and cancel events until the end of April, we hope you will continue to visit us to enjoy our beautiful open spaces. We have prepared a useful visitor information sheet with up to date opening times and advice which can be accessed here:"
