Midnight Gang Theatre Show

You can watch David Walliams MIDNIGHT GANG performed by Chichester Festival Theatre, TODAY at 1pm  (Thursday, April 30)  and will remain available for 30 days on the link below.

National Space Centre Planetarium Show

Hi Everyone,

Do we have any space fans out there? If so you can enjoy an award winning planatarium show in you own home tonight at 6pm (will be available to watch for two weeks) courtesy of the National Space Centre.

"We Are Stars answers the all important questions we all have; What are we made of? Where did it all come from?

The show allows families, adults and children the opportunity to explore the secrets of our cosmic chemistry, and our explosive origins.

 We Are Stars is currently playing in planetaria around the world. However, this is the first time the show has been able to be seen outside the fulldome and enjoyed, in full, in the home."

Disney on Broadway

Hi Everyone,

The Disney on Broadway anniversary charity concert will be streamed for free on YouTube at midnight tonight (Friday 17th April) and will be available for a full week.

The concert is set to include Hercules, Newsies, Aladdin, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Aida, The Little Mermaid, Tarzan, Mary Poppins and more.

The event is raising money for Broadway Cares' COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund, which is helping everyone in the theatre and performing arts community impacted by the pandemic.

*WIN* ✈️ Red Arrows simulator family passes or Play Tyne tickets.

➡️  Using recycled materials and at least one egg* – real, chocolate or an egg shape – we would like you to create an Imaginative Invention.
Incorporate the egg into your invention or use your invention to display your decorated egg to protect it from damage.

➡️  Let your imagination run wild! You could make a machine that moves, or an invention to help at home, or a captain egg like this one Fran from our Learning team made to captain her junk Turbinia ship. It is it up to you – be as creative as you’d like.

*If you use a real egg, please be sure to make use of the egg, whether you blow the egg or boil!

Three age categories:
4 - 7, 8 - 11, 11 -14

Bug hotel

Hi Everyone,

It's looking like a nice weekend so if you fancy keeping the kids busy in the garden why not try building a bug hotel. They can be as small or large as you like. Simple ones can be made my cutting the top of a pop bottle and filling the bottle with twigs. We have attached the how to make a mini-beast mansion guide from the BBC for anyone up for a challenge. Bug hotels come in all shapes and sizes so let the kids use their  imaginations and see what creations they can come up with.
